There are several features to like about the Proform 505 CST Treadmill. Overall, I think it is a great treadmill for the price. The design of it seems to be quite sturdy. I would say with reason, the treadmill might be able to handle more than 300 pounds, although this is the listed weight limit.
I weigh 250 pounds myself, and did not notice any trouble with the treadmill keeping up or having issues with shaking around as you might expect someone getting close to the weight restrictions. It was extremely easy to put together, and the iPod feature makes it one of the more appealing to several people like me who enjoy listening to something on their iPod while working out.
The one downside I would give this treadmill is that the place to put things like a water bottle or remote for a TV is quite shallow. I was slightly concerned the water would fall out, but like I said, the treadmill is quite stable even for someone pushing the weight limits. I would have preferred a nice traditional sized location for a water bottle though.
Beyond that, I think the treadmill has very nice features and works as you would hope!
